Jurianne Matter
As a little child, Jurianne Matter knew she wanted to become an inventor of beautiful things. After several occupational wanderings, she returned to her home in Amsterdam to study Interior Styling at Artemis Academy before becoming a freelance designer and product stylist.
Jurianne’s desire is to create beautiful warm and festive little rituals relating to important events and happenings in life. In this way, they become experiences always to remember. Designs and patterns on even the simplest things are what make her feel completely happy – a Russian candy wrapper, a roll of drawer paper from Tyrol or the paper around a French farmer’s bread.
Jurianne makes unique use of paper and patterns. Her beautiful artworks are created on flat eco-friendly paper and are ready to be folded. You can thread the ‘blom flowers’ or the ‘little boats’ on a string to create a bunting to decorate your home, or attach them to a cocktail stick to turn fairy cakes into cottage garden treats, or simply make your own bouquet. And her little paper boats can sail out to celebrate new arrivals or birthdays. Before you start folding, give the little boats a name and write a personal wish or message along the railing to make it a special keepsake.
